RentThread uses cookies and similar browser technologies for account sessions, security, preferences, and limited measurement. A cookie is a small piece of data stored by a browser. Similar technologies can include local storage and server-side identifiers.
1. Categories
Strictly necessary
Used to:
- Sign you in and maintain a secure session.
- Complete authentication and recovery.
- Protect forms and prevent request forgery.
- Apply security, abuse, and rate-limit controls.
- Remember essential privacy and interface choices.
- Route traffic and keep the Service reliable.
These technologies are required for requested features. Blocking them may prevent the Service from working.
Functional
Used to remember optional interface preferences such as theme, dismissed help, and comment-display settings. They do not track activity across unrelated services.
Analytics and performance
If enabled, used to measure aggregate page use, errors, performance, and feature reliability. RentThread configures analytics to avoid contribution bodies, email addresses, Property Alias ownership, verification information, and exact private residency data.
Optional analytics must respect the available cookie/privacy control where required.
Advertising
RentThread does not use advertising cookies, cross-site retargeting pixels, or targeted advertising at launch.
2. Actual technology inventory
Before launch, generate this table from the deployed production application. Do not invent names or durations.

CI or a scheduled scan should detect new cookies, local-storage keys, pixels, SDKs, and external requests. Any addition requires owner, purpose, privacy review, inventory update, and policy review before production.
3. Controls
Use the footer Cookie settings control to manage optional technologies when available. Browser settings can also delete or block cookies. Necessary technologies cannot be disabled through RentThread while using features that require them.
Where applicable, we honor legally recognized universal opt-out signals for sale, sharing, or targeted advertising. RentThread does not engage in those practices at launch.
